Area Cat Proclaimed “Queen of the Jungle”

A local cat named Wollie Wu has secured the title “Queen of the Jungle” after a political power struggle lasting four to five days, according to sources familiar with the situation.

“It’s not exactly a democratic process,” says Eva Gledhill, a journalist who writes about Jungle politics. “But let’s just say you have to know the right people if you want to claim the throne. And by ‘people,’ I mean ‘cats.’”

Then there’s the question of “jungle” in the first place.

“Is it really a jungle, or just a group of ferns in the corner of the garage?” Gledhill poses. “Who can say?”

Pup’s Instagram Selfies Are a ‘Cry for Help’

Henry, a 6-year-old pup from San Clemente, CA, has been posting piles of Instagrams lately. None of them individually are cause for concern, but friends are worried.

“They’re all selfies with captions like, ‘just hanging out with my lewis.’ Which is fine, except Lewis is a stuffed dog,” says Jack Graham. “He’s trying to look super popular, but instead he’s just making everyone cringe.”

Experts say it may be Henry’s desire to fit in, magnified by the loneliness of social media.

“He wants to show his other friends and classmates that he’s cool,” says Dr. Alice Robertson, a canine psychologist. “But in this case, he’s coming off a little desperate.”

Henry’s family is investigating ways to broach the subject without causing him any further embarrassment.

DNA Test Reveals Puppy Siblings Are Not Related

Lab results sent to an Indiana home on Sunday confirm that Zayda, a 9-week-old German shepherd puppy, is not biologically related to her brother Zlaus.

“There were some eerie similarities there,” says Caitlyn Weastell, a source close to the situation. “They look a lot alike, and both hold a coffee cup with that weird pinky in the air. We just assumed they were related.”

The test revealed that they are not from the same litter.

“I don’t think it will change their relationship,” says Daniel Gomez, a close friend of both pups. “Zayda’s just a sister from another mister, as far as they’re concerned.”

Cat Can’t Unsee Raccoons’ Romantic Encounter

A cat named Sharon has lost significant sleep in recent weeks after witnessing a romantic liaison between two raccoons outside her Toronto home.

“Every time she closes her eyes, there they are,” says Isabel Parker, a family friend. “You know. Doing it. I think she’s traumatized.”

Sharon’s doctor has recommended sleep therapy and even prescribed pharmaceutical aides, to no avail.

As for the raccoons, local law enforcement has been looking into a string of lewd behavior offenses in the neighborhood, but pinpointed no suspects.
