Beach Resident Refuses to Give Up on Summer

The wind blows a little cooler and the smell of pumpkin spice is in the air, but that won’t deter one little pig from catching a few more rays.

Longtime coastal resident Penn continues to hit the beach nearly every day, despite cooler waters and the onset of autumn.

“Oh I see him boogie boarding all the time,” says neighbor Brad Stetson. “Some mornings that water is freezing, but Penn doesn’t care. He just packs a wet suit.”

Most local residents have packed up their umbrellas and beach chairs for the season, but Penn simply refuses to call it quits on summer fun. Some have expressed concern that Penn will hit a rude awakening in the weeks to come, but others support the piglet’s ambition.

“Let him have it!” says Marsha Connelly of the local Chamber of Commerce. “He’s enjoying himself, and it’s great for the food truck business near the beach.”

Tiny Horse Uses Too Much Conditioner

A tiny horse from Vermont named Carol accidentally spilled an entire bottle of conditioner onto her fur over the weekend, according to sources close to the situation.

The horse, who friend’s say has worried about a thinning mane, began using Pantene Pro-V Full & Thick brand hair care products last month. 

“You’re only supposed to use a dime sized drop of conditioner, though,” said one friend. “It’s really hard to open those bottles with hooves. She spilled the entire thing all over.”

The horse reportedly washed the conditioner out immediately, but to no avail. She’s gained about 25% in hair volume and continues to poof up as time passes.

“The only thing for her to do is wait,” said CNN chief hair analyst, Paul Wainwright. “She’s probably reached maximum volume at this point – maybe her coat will get a bit fluffier – and her hair will return to normal in about a day or so. On the plus side, it’s certainly the softest it has ever been.”

Local Ferret Is Style Icon

Wagstaff the ferret is turning heads this Spring with his jaunty scarves and menzies tartan plaid. 

“It’s a bold look for the season,” said POPSUGAR fashion editor Anjelica Cole. “But Wagstaff pulls it off with aplomb.”

The ferret has become something of a local style icon, boosting sales of knit scarves at area shops and online. Representatives for the ferret say he is planning to launch his own line of tiny clothing later this year. It will be available exclusively on Net-a-porter.
