New Evidence Suggests Puppies Evolved From Dinosaurs
Discovery Magazine has published new paleontology and genetic research that suggests modern day puppies share ancestry with dinosaurs.
The two-part study, conducted jointly by Oxford University and Yale, examines physiology across the fossil record, and notes that hip and joint bones in today’s dogs bear a striking resemblance to those of the Triceratops, a giant horned herbivore that roamed North America in the late Cretaceous Period.
Few scientists have linked dinosaurs with mammals, evolutionarily speaking, so it is expected that this research will endure some serious criticism.
