Legendary rock band Pink Floyd has had a profound impact on millions of music fans since the group formed in 1965. Sprinkles, a 3-year-old cat from Brooklyn, now understands why.
“I had put the album on so that Sprinkles wouldn’t have to sit in silence while I went on my morning run,” said Jeffrey Kirsten, the cat’s roommate. “When I got back, I found her laying motionless on my bed, staring off into space.”
Friends of Sprinkles have since noticed a severe change in her behavior, and a far more “existential” tone in her meows.

When it came to purchasing her first apartment, Sasha had very particular taste.
“It had to be cozy, new construction and a great view,” says Sandy Keller, the real estate agent who worked closely with the cat to find her new home. After looking at nearly 40 places in downtown San Francisco, she found her dream apartment.
“It’s a one-bedroom with an eat-in kitchen that’s also the bedroom,” says Keller. “What it lacks in space it makes up for in easy maintenance.”
So far, Sasha is thrilled, according to sources close to the situation. She’s already moved her collector’s plates and washer/dryer into the new space, and ordered a gently used pool table from eBay that should arrive next week.

Your birthday comes along only once per year. It’s an incontrovertible fact, but one that Silas, a young cat from Vancouver, BC, Canada, is having trouble accepting.
“It all started last year,” said Samara Weir, a close friend of the two-year-old kitty. “For his first birthday, we were visiting family in Calgary so we ended up having a party there, and then another for his friends when we got back to Vancouver.”
This year, said Weir, the family in Calgary is visiting them.
“So we only had one party,” she said. “but Silas is expecting two. He thinks that’s just how it’s done.”
According to Weir, the cat has refused to take off his party hat. He’s spent five days since his party slipping deeper and deeper into denial about his passed birthday.
“It breaks my heart a little bit,” Weir said. “But I mean, I have a job, a life. I can’t just be celebrating a cat’s birthday all week.”
