Tyrone is not shy about taking his own photo. But when he got a “selfie stick” – a monopod that lets you hold your phone well away from your body for the perfect solo portrait – he upped his game exponentially.
“A few of us chipped in on it for his birthday,” says Cara Dunvald, a close friend of the pup. “We knew he’d like it, but the moment he opened it, he ran right to his room, closed his door, and his Instagram feed has been flooded ever since.”
Ganymede, a pug from Long Island, New York, is nearly done with a seventy-two hour juice cleanse and he can’t wait. Sources close to the situation confirm to The Fluffington Post that the puppy has procured a decadent cupcake to celebrate the conclusion of the dietary ordeal.
“It’s been awful, I think, for him,” said close friend Stanley Ruggieri. “I mean, the whole thing was his idea in the first place, but he seriously complained the entire time.”
According to Ruggieri the pup was trying to lose a last bit of “holiday weight” that he’d put over over Christmas.
“I think going hog wild on sweets the second the cleanse is over probably defeats the purpose,” said Ruggieri. “But that’s Ganymede for you. No impulse control.”

Spring Is Imminent According to Puppy Report
A meeting of the International Canine Committee on Climate (ICCC) has released its latest scent survey and the outlook is promising.
“The report gathers the scent trails of puppies in 10 different climate zones on five continents, and the findings are pretty conclusive,” says Robert Murango, a spokesperson for the organization. “Spring is coming.”
The 237 page document gathers smell data on pollen, leaves, roots and bird activity, all meticulously logged by the puppy volunteers and analyzed by experts back at the ICCC.
“I mean, it would probably be easier to just look at the calendar, but we like to be as comprehensive as possible,” says Murango. “Plus, the puppies are really cute.”

Dog’s Abstract Paintings Fetch Millions at Auction
Raphael, a golden retriever from Madrid, Spain, has set the art world on fire with his abstract paintings, two of which sold over over $3 million at an auction last week.
Being hailed as the greatest animal painter since Picowsso, the dog has become one of the most sought-after artists of his generation. His rise to fame is all the more dramatic since just a year ago he was living in a pound in Valencia.
“His paintings capture the anguish of being a stray dog,” said art critic Tomas Alonso. “Take the painting that sold last week at Sotheby’s, ‘Flea Bitten in Blue.’ You can’t look at that and tell me you don’t feel the pain. The sorrow. The shame. It’s a masterpiece.”
Raphael’s work will be displayed at the MoMA in New York City as part of a traveling exhibit of canine artists in January of 2016.
