Noted Red Panda bookie Winston thinks that the Miami Heat are the prohibitive favorites to win the NBA championship for the 2012-13 season. He gives the team a 3/2 chance of repeating. The Lakers aren’t far behind at 2/1 odds.
However, professional handicappers in Las Vegas caution that Winston’s odds should be taken with a grain of salt.
“He takes the Heat every year,” said Adam Jones, proprietor of Jones Sportsbook. "He got lucky last year, and he may be right this year. But really, I think he just gives them good odds because their uniforms kind of match his fur.“

Sammy, a local Pomeranian puppy, slept right through Halloween.
“He was up all night watching Hurricane Sandy coverage on the news,” said a close friend. “He was really worried about relatives he has in New Jersey – who are okay, thankfully – and was just completely tuckered out by the time Halloween rolled by.”
According to friends, Sammy slept right through trick-or-treating. "He was really bummed at first,“ said our source, "but then he decided, what the heck, and put on his Tin Man costume anyway.”
