For most office workers, Casual Fridays are a chance to unwind, relax and ease into the weekend. But not for Step, a mid-level marketing executive at New York financial giant Citigroup.
Co-workers say Step has begun to dress up on Fridays, rather than dress down.
“He’s coming to work in a black tie and tails,” said the cat’s manager, Carolyn Mulvaney. “As a cat, we don’t even require him to wear clothes at all, and he walks in every Friday looking like he’s about to go to a gala benefit at the Yale Club.”
Friends of the cat aren’t sure why he’s rebelled against casual Fridays, but suspect that he might be angling for a promotion.
“He sees upper management come to work in suits every day and I think he believes if he dresses fancy, he’ll get promoted,” said cubicle mate Andrew Bolt. “Obviously that’s not how things work here, but, hashtag cat logic, am I right?”

While on a Sunday drive with new friend and licensed driver Peter Franks, 6-month-old puppy Max abruptly jumped to the wheel to give two quick honks.
“I was very startled at first,” said Franks. “But then I looked out the window and saw a gorgeous, full-grown Golden Retriever passing by. Way out of his league, but you’ve got to respect the little guy for trying.”
Max has been acting more mature outside of his house, according to numerous sources familiar with the situation.
