‘Jurassic Park’ Remade with Cats, Gets PG Rating
When Jurassic Park was released in 1993, the MPAA gave the movie a PG-13 rating. In spite of that, kids across the globe flocked to witness the marvel of 3D animated dinosaurs – and promptly got horrific nightmares that kept them awake for weeks.
Now, the movie has been remade using adorable kittens in place of murderous dinos. The result? A more family-friendly PG rating from the ratings board (Jeff Goldblum does still say “That is one big pile of shit,” after all).
One viewer who has screened an advance copy of the new film isn’t quite sold on the softer rating, however.
“I still found it pretty terrifying, actually,” said Gregory Dixon. “I mean, giant cats that can disembowel you with razor sharp claws? Um, no thanks.”
