Shiba Inu Has Garden Prepped for Spring

With the weather finally turning, many have taken to the backyard in preparation for the spring planting season.

A local Shiba Inu has wasted no time stacking her pots and organizing her topsoil collection. On the planting agenda this year? Milkbone trees and bacon bushes, of course.

Lion Cub Is Embarrassed Daily by Mom

A lion cub at the Frankfurt Zoo is “completely mortified” by the way his mom insists on saying goodbye to him in front of all his friends every morning before school.  According to sources close to the situation he’s seriously considering learning how to growl so he can send her the message “to back off, mom, I’m almost a king already!”

‘Take a Ferret, Leave a Ferret’ Trays No Longer in Use

Sometimes you need an extra ferret or two. Sometimes you have a spare ferret in your back pocket.

That’s the concept behind the “Take a Ferret, Leave a Ferret” trays you used to find at many a cash register. It was a communal honor system of ferret-powered goodwill.

“People just aren’t paying with ferrets as much as they used to,” says Linda Cole, economist and animal currency expert.

Cat Plows Readied for Winter 2012

By Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent

Weary of maintenance costs and the threat of another long winter, local contractors are abandoning their dated snowplows in favor of a cheaper, cuter alternative: cats.

“In the long run it just made sense,” says Bill Chapman of Plaistow, NH. “People like cats, and they seem to be good in snow.” By his own estimate, Chapman says at least 18 local cats are currently being rounded up for the job ahead.

“It’s never too early to prepare,” says Chapman. “Sure, they’re a little slower. But another winter with old rusty over here? I think not.”
