Hamster Caught Sneaking Late-Night Snack

Rex had been following his strict low-carb diet perfectly. Unfortunately, temptation got the best of the hamster late Thursday night.

“I went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water around 2AM and there he was, mowing down on a Ritz cracker,” says roommate Fred Burch. “He was doing so well too. I guess he just couldn’t help himself.”

Health experts tell The Fluffington Post that diet slip-ups, while not uncommon, can be cause for concern.

“Maintaining a healthy hamster weight is dependent upon a proper diet,” says nutritionist Donna Fridland. “That could have easily turned into entire sleeve of crackers; you’d need more than a few runs on the hamster ball to work that off.”

Hamster Model Master “Blue Steel”

According to his manager, Christian the hamster has finally gotten down the most fabled look in modeling.

“He did ‘Blue Steel,’” says Len Perlstein. “We were shooting for the Sears fall catalog, and all of a sudden he just does it. It was like someone sucked the air out of the room. Time stood still. It was glorious.”

Long considered the most challenging look a model can master, “Blue Steel” has evaded some of the most famous names in runway fashion.

“No one’s done it correctly since ’86,” says Perlstein. “Christian’s just a special hamster. Now, if I could get him to lay off the pellets, that would be amazing.”

Hamster Boosts Producivity With ‘Yes’ Button

As any procrastinator knows, even the simplest project can be delayed by indecisiveness. Knowing that full well, Carl the hamster tries to make things easier by investing in a “yes” button.

“It’s literally just a button that says ‘yes,’” says Paul Brandt, a friend. “He keeps it at his desk, and looks at it when he’s not sure about doing something. It’s really made all the difference.”

Indeed, Carl is now more productive than ever.

“I haven’t sen him on his wheel in weeks,” says Brandt. “I think he realized that it was only slowing him down, as ironic as that is. He’s written five blog posts, two short stories and a third of a screenplay – and that was just last week.”

Things have picked up so much for Carl, he’s now considering the unthinkable.

“He told me he wants to delete his Facebook,” says Brandt. “I don’t think he’s going to – at least, I hope he doesn’t. He’s already making me look bad.”
