Friends: Lottery-Winning Duck Is ‘Out of Touch’

Things changed for Bentley when he won $16 million in the state lottery drawing last September. He quickly upgraded from a modest one bedroom to a luxury duplex in the hills. It wasn’t long before he developed a taste for the finer things.

“There’s nothing wrong with enjoying the niceties,” says Jessie Blom, a former friend. “But what does he need tufted Egyptian cotton bath towels for? He’s a duck – the water should roll right off.”

It’s those little things that worry friends – perhaps Bentley has lost touch with his roots. “He’s really changed,” says Ericka Nebel, a family friend. “I’m not sure we have much in common anymore.”

Chinchilla Accidentally Filed in ‘Out’ Pile

According to reports trickling in from New York, NY, a chinchilla at the New York Life insurance company was accidentally misfiled in the out pile before being properly processed yesterday.

“I’m not sure how it happened,” said office manager Alison Tenile.  "All unprocessed chinchillas are supposed to end up in the ‘in’ box.  This mistake will throw off our chinchilla department by at least a half day.“

Kittens Scour Yard for Four-Leaf Clover

A group of kittens out have been out in the yard for the past six hours, tirelessly looking for a four-leaf clover.  

“They just heard that four-leaf clovers bring you good luck.  At first they didn’t believe they were rare, but they’ve been out there all day,” said friend Adam Corliss.  "I tried to tell them it was just an old wive’s tale, but they’re determined.  I’m kinda worried about the heat, to tell you the truth, it’s scorching.“

The kittens have had a few false positives, but haven’t found anything but three-leafers so far.
