Baby Bear Taking It Easy This Summer
Terrence the bear worked hard all winter long, and he feels he’s entitled to a little R&R. The bear, a resident of the Bearizona Wildlife Park in Williams, AZ, has decided to just take the summer off and rest up.
“His only plan is to watch the summer Olympics later this month,” said longtime friend and park naturalist Ollie Bruckheimer. "Terrence is a huge fan of synchronized swimming.“

This is not a drill, people. New evidence has emerged that vampire rabbits – once though to exist purely in the realm of fiction – are indeed real.
“I told you they were real!” exclaimed an ecstatic Karl van Bibber, a cryptozoologist who has devoted his entire life to hunting vampire bunnies, a pursuit many thought was a total waste of time until last night.
Others aren’t convinced. “Um, photoshopped,” read a two word statement from renowned biologist and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner E.O. Wilson.

Kitten Assumes Control of Hallway Construction Project
After months of setbacks and delays, the household council has appointed a new foreman to take over the hallway relocation project. Zamba, a kitten, plans to implement a number of time saving and cost cutting measures that should get the project back on track and completed on time for the new school year in late August.
The ambitious undertaking, which will relocate the existing hallway between the living room and dining room to the other side of the kitchen for better traffic circulation near the downstairs half bathroom, has been fraught with delays since ground was broken late last year.
“We’re happy to put the past six months behind us,” said household council member Trip Galloway. “We have 100% confidence in Zamba and his ability to get this project back on track.”

Area Dog Misses Winter
While most people in the Northern Hemisphere are happy that summer weather has arrived, not so for local pup Humphrey. The area dog’s favorite season is winter, and he’s happy to tell anyone who will listen.
“Humphry loves cold weather. He loves snow. He even loves the shorter days,” said friend Andrea Merrell. "But I think what he misses most of all about winter is his hat. He wears that thing non-stop from November to May.“
