Chicago Dog Loses High-Stakes Game of ‘Cranium’

The popular board game Cranium is often a source of fun at parties and small family gatherings. But in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago, IL, a weekly get-together has turned into a high stakes gambling operation.

A bull pug named Louise took a big risk Tuesday night, when she bet her crate and bed that she would win the final match.

“She was doing well, until she got one of those clay sculpting clues,” says Charles McDowell, a spectator. “Without thumbs, she had a really hard time making Romeo and Juliet out of purple Play-Doh.”

She came in second, losing her last worldly possessions to the victor.

Cat Rests After Epic DVD Marathon

Who has seen every episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Ally McBeal and The Practice – in a row? Butter the cat, that’s who.

The kitty is said to be resting easy this evening after completing an epic DVD marathon, in which he watched every episode of those three television series back-to-back with very few breaks.

“I don’t think he’s slept in… oh, about two weeks,” said close friend Winnie Divan. “It took a lot out of him, but he’s doing pretty well, considering.”

Divan told The Fluffington Post that in spite of the significant health risk of not sleeping for weeks to watch mediocre late-90s and 2000s TV dramas, Butter thinks it was “totally worth it.”

Cat Loses Laptop

Oliver the cat knew he shouldn’t have taken his new MacBook on the bus. Even in its clearly marked tote bag, the laptop was all too easily forgotten when Oliver got off at his stop last weekend.

“I couldn’t believe he would just forget it like that – he’s only had the thing for a month,” says Dan Welker, a source close to the cat.

Despite filing a claim with the local bus company, Oliver has yet to see his computer. As one would imagine, things just haven’t been the same.

“He’ll go to Starbucks, but he won’t know what to do,” says Welker. “Normally, he’d have his MacBook with him. Now he just sits there, waiting for his coffee to boot up. It’s actually pretty sad to watch.”

Area Cat Relaxes After Hard Day of Napping

After a long day of sleeping, napping and lounging about his Kentucky home, Mister the cat needs some “me” time to unwind. That’s why he likes to plop himself down on the living room couch and just chill out.

“He puts in so many hours sleeping during the day," said Lyle Stanton, a long time admirer of the hardworking cat, "that he deserves some time to just relax by himself on the couch. He needs to recharge his batteries so he can stay fresh for tomorrow’s naps.”

No word on what Mister likes to watch on TV or if he ever gets up to fetch a snack from the kitchen.
