Helium-Filled Farm Animals Are All the Rage at Parties

Balloons at parties?  That is so 2011.  The newest hot trend in party decor is helium-filled farm animals.  A farm in Poole, England has been experimenting with pumping lambs full of the lighter-than-air gas to create a unique decoration.

“The sky’s really the limit with this trend,” said party planner Cyndi Popsell, the host of HGTV’s pun-filled show Party Plan It. “The only drawback is that you need to be specially trained to do it right.”

Owls Form Neighborhood Watch

A pair of well-intentioned spotted owls in the small town of Lake Albany, GA – population 211 – have formed the nucleus of a new neighborhood watch group.  "They already stay up all night watching the streets with those beady little eyes,“ said town council member Roy Powell.  "So, I mean, it makes sense, right?”

According to police records, there hasn’t been a crime in Lake Albany since 1987, so the effectiveness of the new watch group is hard to gauge.

Happy Goat Makes Killing on Wall Street

Why is this goat smiling?  According to sources it’s because he made bundle of cash this week on the New York Stock Exchange.  Apparently, he got in on Yelp at the IPO price on Friday, and then sold it off Monday morning before the stock took a nose dive.  Due to his savvy investing, the goat has already received employment offers from Bear Stearns and JP Morgan.

The Fluffington Post is told by friends that he’s weighing his options.

A local kitten spa and salon is offering free massages as part of its grand opening promotional strategy this weekend.  100 of the free massage coupons will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8am on Saturday, and each will be valid for six months.
