Dog Enjoys First Brunch
By Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Special Correspondent
Ferdinand had always heard about “brunching.” As a city pup, he would hear stories about the amazing meal that was somehow eaten between breakfast and lunch.
“He was fascinated by the idea of a single meal that could be eaten between 10 and 3,” says Flip Saunders, a friend. “Like, is that breakfast, or would it be lunch? He really had to experience it for himself.”
And that he did. Citing several reliable sources, The Fluffington Post can now confirm that Ferdinand brunched last Sunday at Café du Monde, a cute French place that just opened.
“He went all out,” says Saunders. “Eggs Benedict, blueberry pancakes, biscuits and gravy – and mimosas. So many mimosas. Non-alcoholic, of course.”
By all indications, Ferdinand was thoroughly impressed with the meal. He even took to Yelp later that day to pen a four-star review.
“I helped him write it,” says Saunders. “We were both on the same page, though. It was pretty much the best brunch ever.”

Guinea Pig Roommates Share Food, Hats
We already know that hats are en vogue for cats, but guinea pigs are not to be outdone. New York City piggies Mischka and Leela share an apartment, but they also like the same foods and fashions. Though they can only afford one fez, they alternate days wearing it.
“Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll see Leela wearing it,” says Clyde Tilman, who lives in the apartment below. “Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, it’s Mischka. Sundays are always up for grabs though.”

Baby Owl Announced as Alternate Host for Presidential Debate
When the third and final presidential debate of the 2012 election cycle convenes in Boca Raton, FL on October 22, CBS News correspondent Bob Schieffer is scheduled to be the host. However, should Schieffer be unable to perform his duties for any reason, the Commission on Presidential Debates has announced that a baby owl is the alternate moderator.
The owl, who is a rising media star, currently serves as a foreign affairs correspondent for CBS Radio-owned WBBM in Chicago.
“He’s really good at asking ‘who’ questions,” said the owl’s current boss, producer Lori McCall. "Admittedly, he’s less adept at the what, where, why and when queries…“
The focus of the debate will be foreign policy.
