Cat’s Fish-Flavored Ice Cream Truck Closes After All Inventory Is Mysteriously Eaten

Age of Aquarium, a darling of the Brooklyn, NY food truck scene, has closed after all of its inventory of fish-flavored ice cream was mysteriously eaten last night. The cat-owned truck has been a favorite among locals since opening earlier this summer and scoring a profile in New York magazine.

The truck was parked near Prospect Park this morning with a sign that said, “All Sold Out. Closed Indefinitely.” However, sources close to the situation say that the ice cream was not sold out, but rather, consumed.

“There were definitely signs,” said fellow food truck owner Giorgio Amon. “All the ice cream scoops were clean, the truck was fully stocked with cones and toppings, but the ice cream bins were licked clean. Highly suspicious.”

Co-owners George and Wheezy declined to comment, but a spokesperson said they were nursing pretty severe “tummy aches.”

Obama a No-Show at Hedgehog’s Tea Party

Given his recent travels to Africa and a number of domestic stops in the U.S., surely President Obama would have some time to swing by Albuquerque, NM for a quick tea party.

At least that was Fiona’s logic. The hedgehog sent an E-vite to the White House three months ago, allowing the president ample time to respond and prepare (he is busy, after all),

“There was no RSVP, but she held out hope,” says Cameron Skilet, a source familiar with the situation. “She set the table, made snacks, and had some really delicious herbal on tap.”

Then she waited.

“She ended up eating everything herself,” says Skillet. “After waiting six hours, she finally acknowledged Barack probably wouldn’t make it.”

SnackChat Co-Founder Bails Over Office Politics

A shake-up at one of the hottest messaging app startups of 2015 has employees and investors reeling.

Programmer and serial entrepreneur Enzo has departed SnackChat, the mobile client that lets users send pictures of bacon and peanut butter to each other, which he co-founded. The reasons are still coming to light, but sources close to the situation tell The Fluffington Post that he has been at odds with his co-founder and the board of directors over the direction of the app for some time.

“I know he had a lot of beef with Mittens,” a former employee of the company tells us, under condition of anonymity, referring to the company’s feline CFO. “Enzo really wanted to add a pork feature, and Mittens was pushing for tuna messaging. I’m not saying that was the whole disagreement, but it was probably the straw that broke the camel’s back.”
