California Updates Car Seat Regulations for Dogs
While car seat laws for canines have been somewhat ambiguous in the state of California, the legislature passed new guidelines on Tuesday.
State Law 10644.01, Section B now reads:
It’s probably a bad idea to drive around with a dog in a baby car seat. In fact, let’s just not do that, mmk?

Cat Convicted on 2 Counts of Money Laundering
A federal judge has found local cat Roxie guilty of money laundering. The two-count conviction came down early Tuesday after a four-month trial.
“My client has done nothing wrong or immoral,” says Sal Maser, attorney for the defendant. “That cash was absolutely filthy. It just needed a spin cycle.”
Much of the case has centered around the meaning of “laundering” in a legal context, though many experts expect the ruling to stick.
“We certainly plan to appeal. We’ll take this to the Supreme Court if we have to,” Maser added.

Puppy Introduces ‘Cuddle Vision’ at CES
CuteCorp, an all puppy startup from Irvine, CA, has announced its debut product at the annual CES conference in Las Vegas. Called, “Cuddle Vision,” the $99 gadget will apparently make it easier for pups to endure sustained periods of cuddling.
“To be honest, we’re not really sure what it does or how it works yet,” wrote Leigh Tyrell, a technology journalist at CNET. "CuteCorp CEO Waldorf the puppy fell asleep at least three times during his keynote, so it was a little hard to follow.“
Hopefully this isn’t just more vaporware from the canine entrepreneurial community.
