REPORT: Static Cling on the Rise Among Cats
Results from the national Survey on Fur-Level Electricity conducted each year by the 3M Corporation indicates that static cling is up year-over-year among felines. "Most cats carry an electrostatic charge,“ says researcher Anton Nowitzski, who indicated that this year has presented the highest levels of static electricity on record. "We believe a low pressure area dipping into the U.S. from Canada is to blame.”
Cats are advised to be on the lookout for wacky fur and crackling noises when they stretch out on the rug.
