Cat Peeved at Local Baby for Stealing Seat

An area cat by the name of Monona is extremely unhappy this afternoon after losing her seat in a cardboard box to a local baby.  According to a grievance filed by the cat with police, the baby, named Caleb, took the seat without asking at 9:27am and has refused to vacate.

“This is the kind of case every officer dreads,” said police Sgt. Justin Peterson, who responded to the initial call. “On the one hand, we want to resolve this peacefully – and Monona looks pissed.  On the other hand, as far as we can tell, she totally didn’t call safe seat.”

The box is in a prime location with a view of both the kitchen and the living room.

Bunny Scores 7-Letter Word in Scrabble

A local bunny laid down a 7-letter word across two triple word score spaces for a rabbit record of 221 points.  The point total has been verified as a record for the International Rabbit Scrabble Association, which governs all competitive Scrabble playing among bunnies.

There is some dispute among IRSA board members about the legitimacy of the word “hoppity,” however.

Dog Reads Paper First Thing in the Morning

While many canines have switched to tablets and laptop computers for their news consumption, Molly still likes to read the paper each morning.  "She’s just not right until she’s had a cup of joe and the morning paper,“ says Randall Peters, a source close to the situation.  According to Peters, though Molly does own an iPad and consumes news via Twitter and Facebook throughout the day, she refuses to give up her morning coffee and paper ritual.

Vacationing Polar Bear Can’t Get Enough Sun

Willie, a polar bear from the Arctic Circle, has been vacationing in Hilton Head, SC since last Thursday.  He’s scheduled to go home tomorrow morning and he just can’t get enough sun.  Sid and Nancy Olafsson, year-round residents of the island, tell The Fluffington Post that Willie has been outside tanning from sunup to sundown since he arrived.  "He must go through three tubes of sunblock each day, easy,“ says Sid.
