Rude Guy in Sunglasses Ruins Cat’s Selfies

When Solomon the cat received a new Android phone with a high-res front facing camera for a birthday present last week, he thought he’d finally be able to take great selfies. Unfortunately, so far all of his attempts have been ruined by a man in sunglasses who keeps photobombing him.

“That’s his roommate, Victor,” said a source close to the situation. “Victor always thinks he has to be the center of attention. He won’t leave Solomon alone long enough to snap a good selfie.”

Sources tell The Fluffington Post that the cat hasn’t updated his Instagram account in a week because he hasn’t been able to take a photo without Victor appearing somewhere in the background. 

“It’s been really frustrating for him,” said another friend. “He may end up finding another roommate over this.”

Area Dog Literally Runs on Dunkin’

Tinkerbelle has had a sweet tooth for some time, but when a Dunkin’ Donuts finally opened around the corner from her apartment, the Long Island pup knew she was in for trouble.

“I see her in there at least three times a week,” says Doris Everley, a neighbor. “She usually comes out with two glazed and a bag of munchkins.”

Next stop is her front stoop, where she savors the morning (and the frosting) with each bite.

“Well it’s certainly made my job a lot harder,” says Kyle Caldwell, Tinkerbelle’s personal trainer. “She’s gained three or four ounces since she started these bad habits. She’s going to need to do a lot more walkies if she wants to keep her girlish figure.”

Chinchilla Splurges On Second Dessert Almond

Your birthday only comes once per year, and that’s why Mr. Bagel the chinchilla had no regrets about ordering a second dessert almond on a recent trip to his favorite restaurant.

“Almonds aren’t usually something Mr. Bagel eats a lot of,” said close friend Nelson Koski. “Don’t get me wrong, he loves almonds – raw, smoked, Jordan, you name it.”

So what’s the problem? For one, almonds don’t really fit with the diet his chinchilla friend has been on – mostly chinchilla pellets, some grass hay, a few fruits here and there. 

“He’s dropped a half an ounce in four months on that diet,” said Koski. “He looks fantastic.”

The other reason is environmental. Mr. Bagel has concerns over the outsized water impact that almonds have in drought-stricken California, where over 80% of the world’s almonds are grown. 

“He definitely worries about that, and he’s trying to do his part by really limiting his almond intake,” Koski explained. “He’s been working on a bag of mixed nuts he bought at Trader Joe’s three years ago, and he’s still only eaten half.”

Still, the chinchilla definitely doesn’t regret his splurge during his birthday dinner.

“Your birthday is special,” Koski said. “Sometimes you’ve got to live a little, you know?”
