Cat Enjoys Reading More After Getting Glasses

Marabelle the cat always hated reading. English was her least favorite subject in school on account of all the books she was assigned. But that all changed last week when she got her first pair of reading glasses.

“I don’t think she realized that reading isn’t supposed to hurt,” said optometrist Dr. Avery Wong. “She just figured that’s how it was for everyone.”

But Marabelle is extremely nearsighted. Since she got her new specs, she won’t stop reading.

“Oh she loves it!” said Janice Welles. “She’s read everything in the house and just signed up for a library card.”

According to Welles, Marabelle is even reading books over her summer vacation, a completely unthinkable occurrence just a couple of weeks ago.
