Local Cat Furious About Game of Thrones Spoilers

Seattle tabby Reese has been a fan of the epic fantasy saga Game of Thrones since the first season on HBO. However, owner Felicia Marks decided to give up her subscription to the premium channel midway through season two.

“I was only watching the one show, and I just didn’t think it was worth the cost,” she explained. “I figured we’d just wait the year and then buy it on iTunes, no big deal.”

Marks said that Reese became increasingly irritated about not being able to watch the episodes when they aired. The tension in their house reached a head two weeks ago. 

“Reese went on Twitter one Sunday night and saw all these posts about a major character getting killed off,” Marks said. “He just lost it. He started yowling about how inconsiderate people are and that anyone who posts spoilers deserves to be mauled by a White Walker.”

Reese has since decided to read George R.R. Martin’s series and wreak his own terrible vengeance by sharing plot twists from the fifth book.

Apartment Is Smaller than Cat Expected

Recent Bay Area transplant Max the cat was disappointed by the size of his “cozy” studio apartment with “office nook.”

“In his budget, there’s not a lot available,” said real estate agent Piper Martin. “Especially since he wanted to be near Muni. But I found him a very affordable space that includes every necessary amenity and allows him to enjoy all the perks of city life.”

According to Martin, the apartment, though “quaint,” has everything a cat could need. But Max doesn’t agree with that assessment.

“His place is really nothing more than a cabinet, and that bonus office space? Its just a hollowed out cereal box in the back,” said close friend Ezra Morin. 

Morin said that to Max, his small space is emblematic of the gentrification of the city.

“There’s just no way Max can afford to live downtown on his middle class salary,” said Morin. “And that’s a shame.”
