Rodney fancies himself the king of local cat comedy, but neighbors are furious after a throwback prank left a trail of property damage in its wake.
Early Sunday morning, the cat took to re-enacting a notable soft drink commercial from the 1970s in which the “Kool-Aid Man,” a 6-foot pitcher of red sugar water, would explode through walls to rescue thirsty kids.
“I’m having waffles on my deck and I heard this huge crash,” says area resident Phillip Corman. “I turn around and Rodney has completely busted through my garage wall shouting, ‘OH YEAAAH’ or whatever. I mean, what is that? Is that from a YouTube video or something? It’s not funny, and now he owes me $450 for the repairs.”
Rodney has since dislodged himself, but could not be reached for comment.
