Cat Busted With 12,000 Fake Prada Bags
The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Commerce announced the arrest this morning of Mitzy, a cat living in Philadelphia, PA who was allegedly sitting on the top of a multi-state, billion dollar counterfeiting operation. The cat was arrested with over 12,000 fake Prada bags in her possession. The bags have a street value of over $3.5 million.
“Once we got Sammy the Salamander – a street hustler we picked up in Queens, NY last year – to flip on Mitzy, it was just a matter of putting together the resources for a sting,” said FBI spokesperson Wil Quantos.
If convicted, Mitzy faces up to 20 years in prison.
