Dog Masters Upward Facing Dog

Though it is one of the most widely known and oft-used yoga posts, Upward Facing Dog is, ironically, extremely difficult for canines to perform. That’s why a local dog named Rusty was so psyched when he finally mastered the pose over the weekend.

“He’s been coming to my class for about five months,” said yoga instructor Katrina Light. “So far he had only been able to perfect child’s pose and, oddly enough, the cat pose. Both of the dogs, downward and upward, were giving him trouble.”

That all changed on Saturday, when Rusty busted out Upward Facing Dog and held it for three minutes.

“We were all really proud. I guess he’s been practicing at home,” said Light.
