Puppy Gets Job at French Bistro
by Anna Washenko, FluffPo Correspondent
Butterscotch the dog recently entered the workforce in Washington, D.C., after landing an entry-level position at a newly opened French bistro.
Chez Marie was a long-awaited addition to the trendy Adams Morgan neighborhood, and most of the staff positions were snapped up quickly. Yet, despite the tough competition and a substandard resume, Butterscotch found himself working as a janitor.
“Actually, we never officially hired him,” Chez Marie manager Eloise Tatin said. “He just appeared one afternoon after the brunch rush and licked up all the crumbs on the patio. But the waitstaff thought he was adorable, so we kept him around. Don’t tell him, but next week we’re going to promote him to dishwasher – I think he’ll love that.”
