Mid-Atlantic Cats Prepare for ‘Frankenstorm’
With Hurricane Sandy bearing down on the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast and a blast of cold air moving in from the North, there is a potential for the two fronts to merge, forming an unprecedented superstorm. Cats all over the region, from Maryland to Massachusetts, have sprung into action.
“Many kitties were caught off guard by the surprise Halloween snowstorm last year,” said meteorologist Frank Lanigan. "They’re not going to let that happen again.“
The Union Square Whole Foods in New York City is reporting a major run on bottled water and batteries and the Wal-Mart in Dover, DE is already completely out of flashlights and canned tuna.
"Cats are filling their biggest water dishes for this one,” said Lanigan.
