Cat Stuns Friends with ‘Shark Selfie’
by Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent
Visitors to Lily’s Instagram page likely did a double take last weekend – a picture marked “#sharkselfie” appeared to show the cat next to a ferocious great white shark.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw it,” says Megan Dunn, a friend. “Lily’s always been pretty adventurous, but a shark seemed crazy – even for her.”
The photo soon took on a life of its own.
“Reddit picked it up, then BuzzFeed,” says Dunn. “The attention got to be a bit too much. Eventually she had to tell people it wasn’t a real shark. Of course, I knew that all along.”
During an interview with The Fluffington Post, Dunn was started when her Instagram app refreshed, showing Lily atop a very convincing velociraptor.
