Don Luigi “Il Gatto” Greco is behind bars tonight after an FBI raid on his family compound in upstate New York. The federal case being built against the mob boss hinges on 27 counts of alleged racketeering.
According to the FBI, Greco’s organization, known locally as the “Gattino Cosa,” has been engaged in a protection racket in Buffalo, NY, netting at least $1.2 million over the past year.
“Who knows if it will stick,” said MSNBC senior legal expert Annie Wachowski. “But, hey, they got Capone on tax evasion.”
