Cat Volunteers To Test Comfort of New Couch
by Anna Washenko, FluffPo Correspondent
Tabby cat Rita has offered up her skills as a furniture tester and is currently engaged in a thorough review of her family’s new couch. The Millers purchased the sofa from a local designer who specializes in vintage-style pieces.
“I loved the colorful patchwork design, but Rita was very concerned that the texture and stitching might make it harder to fall asleep,” Mrs. Julie Miller explained. “We’re so lucky to have her looking out for the quality of our naps.”
Rita has insisted that neither she nor the couch be disturbed during the long and involved testing procedure.
Teenaged daughter Tiffany Miller said that while she appreciates Rita’s efforts, she’s skeptical about the need for such a time-consuming process. “We got the couch three days ago and Rita’s been conked out on it ever since,” she confided. “I don’t think this is all scientifically necessary. I just want somewhere to sit and watch TV.”
