Experts: Kitten’s Hiding Spot is ‘Flawed’
After a careful analysis, hide and seek experts at the University of Wisconsin have determined that the hiding spot chosen by Penny the cat during a recent game had some major issues.
Penny was found less than 45 seconds after the start of the game, which was “shockingly fast,” according to people familiar with the sport.
“Penny sent a video of her performance to the Hiding Science Institute in Wisconsin,” said her coach Olivia Price. “We often review tape and we just wanted a better understanding of where she went wrong.”
According to Price, the scientific review revealed flaws in Penny’s form and in her choice of hiding spot.
“First, she was moving around a lot and showing her face. That’s a no-no in hide and seek,” explained Price. “But also, she was hiding in a see through wire mesh basket. We could see her the whole time. That was probably the biggest thing.”
