Cat Goes ‘Backpacking’ Around Europe
Anderson the cat had a dream. He wanted to take a year off before college and just bum around Europe. This week, he made that dream a reality when he stowed away in the backpack of his friend Chris Samson, who himself had just left for a European sojourn.
The Fluffington Post caught up with Samson and Anderson outside of Marseille, France.
“When I first found Andy in my pack I’ll admit, I was a little pissed,” recalled Samson. “But the little guy is a pretty good travel buddy.”
According to Samson traveling with a cat has its perks. Anderson doesn’t weigh much, he keeps bugs at bay at night, he has a knack for finding the best napping spots in every city, and he’s great at starting conversations with fellow travelers at hostels.
