Cat Named Curator of New York Museum of Modern Art
Turk, a cat from New York’s upper east side, has been named associate curator of the famed MoMA museum. Art critics lauded the decision, citing Turk’s artistic background, which includes a degree in Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Others are less sure that this is a good move. "She’s already replaced our Picasso with a painting of a cat, and changed the wall description on van Gogh’s ‘The Starry Night’ to read that the painting is a representation of a small tuna fishing village in the Netherlands,“ said a fellow museum worker, who wished to remain anonymous. "I don’t like the precedents being set here.”
