Chanel to Bottle New ‘Wet Dog’ Fragrance

In a move that has many perfume marketers scratching their heads, Chanel is due to release a line of fragrances called “Wet Dog.”

“Lots of people enjoy the smell of musty mutt hair,” says Melissa Quashie, a Chanel spokesperson. “It reminds them of home and of simpler times. We want to bottle that feeling.”

Not everyone agrees.

“Wet dog is like the worst smell ever,” fashion blogger Kelly Ralls tells The Fluffington Post. “What’s next? Cologne that smells like BO?”
