Puppy Starts Juice Cleanse

Abbey was feeling sluggish and burnt out. She wasn’t watching her diet. Realizing that some serious lifestyle changes were in order, the local puppy did what many are doing these days to detoxify themselves – she started a one-week juice cleanse.

“She has some juice in the morning, then some more in the afternoon, and then some more at night,” says friend Christine Simon. “Think about what you normally eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then replace those things with juice. That’s pretty much what it is.”

Though juice cleansing programs remain controversial, Abbey is reportedly feeling like a brand new pup already.

“She’s completely revitalized,” says Simon. “I mean, she’s almost all kale at this point, but she had a five mile walkie yesterday. I’d say the stuff’s working.”

Small Bunny Family Getting Reality TV Show

The Fuzzy family is in negotiations to get a reality show on TLC, according to a report from Deadline.com. With only three baby bunnies, the clan of rabbits is shockingly small, and the Fuzzies have been subject to prejudice within the rabbit community, where generally families have a dozen or more children.

TLC executives are betting that hardship will make for must-see TV.

“The challenges facing a family this small will really tug at our viewers’ heartstrings,” producer Jen Harris said. “The bunnies are learning to find strength in the fact that they are different. It’s like the Duggars, only in reverse. And with bunnies. How can this not be a hit?”

Puppy-Elect Vows to Change Partisan Politics

Otis the dog, a newly elected member of the Texas House of Representatives representing Lubbock county and the 84th district, has vowed to bring change to the statehouse.

“When Otis arrives in Austin to start the new term next year,” said campaign manager Kay Flatley, who is serving as the leader of the puppy’s transition team, “he’ll bring a new energy and view to the capitol. No more red or blue, but just the attitude that we need to work together and get things done.”

Flatley said that Otis, who is described as a conservative Democrat on his Wikipedia page, plans to reach across the aisle to push the issues he campaigned on. 

“That’s easier said than done,” said Texas political insider and former aide to the speaker of the House, Tom Cardoza. “Texas Republicans have nearly a supermajority in the House. Look, Otis is a really good dog, and it’s nice for him to say he’s going to try to work across the aisle, but in most cases, his vote just isn’t needed, so it’s going to be hard for him to push his agenda, especially as a newcomer.”
