Local Dog Is Unimpressed With Wine Selection
Einar, a 3-year-old French Bulldog who recently moved from Norway to Brooklyn, NY, has so far been unimpressed with the wine selection at local restaurants.
“He heard New York was a foodie town,” said friend Kilian Meyer. “He was excited to sample the local fare.”
But so far, said Meyer, the dog hasn’t been thrilled by what he’s found.
“The food has been to his liking, I think,” he said, “but the wine pairings have been awful. I mean, yesterday he ordered a can of beef and peas Pedigree and the sommelier paired it with a Riesling. Seriously? Everyone knows you need a full-bodied red for that.”

Cat Community Stunned by Surfboard Theft
by Ashley Welter, FluffPo Correspondent
Two San Diego cats were excited to hit the waves this past weekend, but the only wave they experienced was one of depression when they discovered their surfboard had been stolen.
“They had been practicing their tandem routine in hopes of qualifying for the upcoming Meow Mix Pro Competition,” their publicist, Annabelle Rowland told The Fluffington Post, “but now they’ve been left with nothing but an empty surfboard bag.” The cats haven’t left the empty bag since their devastating discovery — not even for canned food.
The surfboard heist is the latest in a string of incidents targeting cats that have taken place throughout San Diego’s coastal neighborhoods. Just last week, a Pacific Beach tabby had his favorite laser pointer nabbed right off his front porch, and the scratching post of a calico went missing a week before that.
No suspects have been identified at this time, but police suspect the notorious “Woof Kings” dog gang could be to blame.
