EXCLUSIVE: After Busy Day, Puppy Just Wants a Nap
by Anna Washenko, FluffPo Correspondent
Last Tuesday, Alfie had a very busy day. The morning started with an energetic walk around the neighborhood accompanied by his owner. The pair paused by a bus stop where several kids were awaiting their ride to school. The children cooed over Alfie’s soft fur and floppy ears, and sources with knowledge of the encounter report that he turned on the charm to the max.
After their walk, the pup enjoyed a rambunctious play session, which included fetch with a tennis ball, chewing on a rawhide, and extensive tail-wagging.
He also had an unexpected surprise in the afternoon when the phone rang. In response, Alfie barked as hard as he could and galloped from one end of the apartment to the other.
By 2:00, the puppy was completely wiped out and ready for a nap.

Hippie Dog Plans First Ever ‘Woofstock’
by Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent
Sadie was always a “groovy” dog.
The pooch’s stubborn adherence to hippie culture and love for all things 60’s has made her a unique presence at the dog park – and now she’s taking things a step further.
In the ultimate attempt at recreating the Summer of Love, the dog has made plans to stage the first-ever “Woofstock.”
“It’ll be three days of peace and love, and probably some barking,” says Casey Donahue, a friend. “Just imagine that concert from ’69, but with dogs. That’s really the best way I can explain it.”
Though the lineup has yet to be revealed, industry insiders expect some big names to join the bill.
“Word is The Dave Bark Five will be there,” says Paul Weathers, senior editor at Pitchfork. “Possibly The Mamas and the Puppies. You might even see The Growling Stones. If you’re a dog, I’d book tickets early – it’s gonna be far out, man.”
Woofstock is expected to kick off in late summer, directly after Meowtamont.

Puppies’ Valiant Stand Against Bathtime Proves Futile
by Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent
According to their owner, a pair of dogs were unsuccessful in their bold, last-minute attempt to avoid a bath this weekend.
“It was unexpected, I’ll tell you that, ” says Jenn Blumfield. “I barely got ‘bath’ out and Jake was looking up at me like I’d just ran over his mother.”
The monthly routine was further complicated when Blumfield’s second pup decided to join in.
“Oh, then Rex comes over and lays his little puppy head on Jake’s,” says Blumfield. “You could tell they coordinated it – he looked even sadder. The tears were pretty much welling up at that point. It almost killed me, but I finally just picked them up and put them in.”
The dogs are expected to employ the same tactic in advance of their vet appointment next week.
