It’s only been two days, but Pepper the pug is longing for Ann Curry, the former co-host of NBC’s Today Show.
“There’s a big hole in his heart,” says Fran Colbert, a source close to the situation. “He loved waking up to Ann every morning. It just won’t be the same with Savannah Guthrie.”

In a move that sent shock waves through the peanut butter industry, Murphy the pug has publicly declared his love for chunky style.
“All this time we thought creamy was his favorite,” says Cathy Cole, a spokesperson for Teddie Peanut Butter. “This is just a lot to handle right now. I think I need to lie down.”
Analysts predict that Murphy’s high profile preference could influence sales of chunky peanut butter across the board.
“We’re anticipating a ripple in the PBI,” says Stuart Akron, who studies and trades against the Peanut Butter Index. “A big, delicious, creamy ripple that you can spread on toast.”

Distinguished GentlePug Makes Scene at Company Picnic
An affluent pug named Moose (of the Newport Mooses) has been accused of harassment and general misconduct during a recent corporate retreat.
“He was walking funny, slobbering on everyone,” says Fran Miller, an employee of CalStar, the boat insurance firm that held the picnic. “I’m not sure if he was drunk, but he was definitely acting inappropriately.”
Attorneys for Moose, who is a senior vice president at CalStar, maintain that his friendliness might have been misconstrued, but there was certainly no wrongdoing. The pug himself could not be reached for comment.

Pug Actor Refuses to Smile for Headshots
Every actor needs a professional headshot for auditions. They should say something about you, your character, your looks and your energy.
Los Angeles-based pug actor Kashi had hers done recently, and it’s no accident that she looks so forlorn.
“Kashi has made a name for herself in this industry playing down-on-her-luck type characters,” says Charlie Camp, the pug’s longtime agent. “Her new shots really convey her strong suit as an actor.”

Pug Immediately Regrets Buying Trampoline
A Seattle pug named Franklin saw a trampoline at Target and did what any other self-respecting American would in that situation – he slapped down his debit card and rolled that sucker home.
After a good hour scouting the perfect location and tending to some basic assembly, he was ready to hop on.
“He’s been bouncing for about five hours now,” says Gerald Robinson, one of about 40 onlookers who have encircled the hopeless pup. “You can tell he wants out, but he hasn’t been able to break the cycle. I sure hope he kept the receipt.”
