After a workout in front of scouts and coaches on Friday morning, basketball experts are saying that panda cub Xiao Liwu’s prospects of being signed by an NBA team have taken a step back.
“Xiao Liwu was definitely one of the most intriguing prospects in the game,” said ESPN analyst Mike Franco. “But Friday’s workout did not go well. There’s no way to sugarcoat it.“
Insiders say that while coaches gushed over the 3-point shooting ability that first put Liwu on the world radar, they were unimpressed with his hand-eye coordination and inability to make strong moves inside. “He still has a great outside game, but you have to be able to man up in the paint to play in the NBA,” said Franco. “He just didn’t show that ability in front of the scouts.“

Panda Cub Trapped on Swing Set for Hours
A rambunctious panda cub from the Wolong Nature Reserve in China was spotted at the top of the tire swing set, apparently too scared to go down or up.
“He just kinda dangled there,” says Tabatha Nilson, who witnessed the incident via live web cam. “His buddy was just laughing on the playground. It went on like that for about two hours. I watched the whole thing at work.”

Playground Scuffle Outs Panda Cub Bully
Jinke, a cub at the Bifengxia Panda Center in Ya’an, China, was minding his own business, enjoying a horsie ride on the playground.
That’s when multiple witnesses reported seeing Shenbin, a fourth grader, giving Jinke a hard time.
“He wouldn’t wait his turn,” an onlooker tells The Fluffington Post under condition of anonymity. “He just started pushing Jinke around. We thought it was good-natured at first – then came the tears.”
