The event was so exclusive, only the highest of society were invited. There’s a reason New York Magazine named it among the “top 10 hottest parties in Manhattan.”

There was only one problem: No one showed up.

Exclusive photos obtained by The Fluffington Post reveal a lonely pup in an empty apartment, strewn with confetti.

“It’s likely she over-shot with the guest list,” says gossip columnist Rebecca Holtz. “You can’t invite Barack Obama, Roger Federer and Freddie Mercury and expect those kinds of people to attend. Freddie’s been dead for 20 years, for crying out loud.”

The Fluffington Post has received numerous reports that a local feline named Chester absolutely loves hugs.

“I mean, he’s wearing a sweater that says ‘I Love Hugs,’ so I’m pretty sure he’s down with hugging,” says Fredrick Pyle, a source close to the situation.

While it’s too soon to confirm exactly how much Chester enjoys hugs, we have spoken with numerous sources who say the affinity is substantial.

To say that Norbert is a fan of Maker’s Mark bourbon is an understatement.

“He’s a super fan,” says Henry Timmons, a close friend of the cat. “This year, he went so far as to dress his bottle in a matching holiday sweater – and a pretty funky one at that.”

His family and friends say the Maker’s Mark obsession is a little over the top, but it could be worse. “He doesn’t drink it,” says Timmons. “It’s a lifestyle thing for Norbert.”

Local Cat Can’t Believe Christmas Is Already Here

A cat named Casey could not believe his eyes when he flipped his page-a-day desk calendar over to December 25.

“The holidays really crept up on him this year,” says Taylor Killington. “He was just flabbergasted that Christmas is already here. Wasn’t it just October?”

Numerous reports claim it took hours for Casey to come to his senses and finally pour some egg nog.
