Area Dog Takes Office Safety Inspector Appointment Too Seriously

Area Dog Takes Office Safety Inspector Appointment Too Seriously

When J&M Insurance Brokers in Sioux Falls, ND made Charlie, a Westie Poodle mix, the new Safety & Compliance Officer, they were really just placating the pup. Giving him some meaningless title to keep him out of the way.

Big mistake.

Charlie has decided to take his job seriously. Really, really seriously.

“He’s become drunk with power,” said co-worker Robyn Lightman. “He walks around the office all day passing out citations. ‘Coffee too hot,’ ‘Shoes untied,’ ‘Laptop cords not tidy enough…’ Last week I got in trouble for microwaving a burrito too long!”

According to Lightman, the dog has also made himself a sash.

Local Pug Gets Anything He Wants With ‘Pug Face’

Local Pug Gets Anything He Wants With ‘Pug Face’

According to reports, an area puppy named Yogi can get anything he wants simply by doing his “pug face.”

“It’s irresistible,” said Joy Lee, a source close to the situation. “It’s literally impossible to say no to him when he’s doing that face.”

Lee says Yogi has begun to abuse his power now that he’s figured out how it works.

“Three, maybe four times per day, he sends me on raw hide runs, and I’m powerless to stop him,” she said. “I’ve tried to teach him that with great power, comes great responsibility. But he’s a pug. I don’t think he has a system of ethics.”

Pup Accidentally Returned to Toy Store

Chi Chi, a Chihuahua pup from Pasadena, CA, was accidentally returned to a local Toys ‘R’ Us after being mistaken for a defective Furby. So what does the toy store do when something like this happens?

“Well, it might surprise you to learn this sort of thing doesn’t actually happen that often,” said Chad Jennings, a spokesperson for the store. "In any case, we notified the owner, who came and picked up her dog. Turns out she’d been walking the Furby all morning, none the wiser. "I guess it goes to show you how lifelike Furbies are, or something.“

Puppy’s Autobiography Receives Mixed Reviews

Puppy’s Autobiography Receives Mixed Reviews

The long-awaited memoir from noted bad girl and professional puppy Bella has finally hit bookstores. Aptly titled Bad Dog, the autobiography is receiving mixed reviews, but is expected to sell well.

“Bad Dog lacks any sense of place,” wrote the New York Times Review of Books in a tepid review. “Bella has managed to craft an utterly flat narrative that it as turns both reserved and too detailed, but always narcissistic.”

Other critics found much to like in the book, however.

“Bad Dog grabs you from page one and doesn’t let you go,” exclaimed a glowing review from USA Today. “It is a tour de force that offers readers a rare glimpse into the often turbulent life of one of our generation’s most watched dogs.”

Puppy’s Home Perm Experiment Goes Awry

Puppy’s Home Perm Experiment Goes Awry

By Scott Friedstein, FluffPo Correspondent

Fritz the puppy had been preparing for weeks for his speaking engagement at the local Rotary Club. Even so, he still didn’t feel quite ready.

“There was something missing,” says Hank Fellows, a source close to the situation. “He needed the perfect hairstyle.”

With hours to spare, Fritz decided he only had one option: A home perm kit from 1987. Unfortunately, the results left much to be desired.

“It probably would have benefited him to read the instructions,” says Fellows. “He didn’t let the activator set before he washed it – big beginner’s mistake. It looked awful. He wasn’t happy at all.”

Fortunately, Fritz was able to reschedule the speech.

“He said he got food poisoning,” says Fellows. “Guess that worked for them.”
