For Dogs, Begging Is More Effective Than Working
A new study out from the Center for Canine Prosperity reveals what many have known for some time – that dogs often get what they want by begging, rather than working hard for it.
Researchers reviewed the productivity-to-income ratios of nearly 3,000 dogs across the country and found that those who beg are, on average, 34% more successful.
“What kind of work ethic are we instilling in today’s puppies if we give them whatever they want at the slightest whimper?” asks Conrad Butler, a conservative blogger who wrote about the study. “Next stop, government handouts.”

Neighborhood Cat Disrespects Personal Boundaries
Folks in Texas are known to be friendly, but an area cat is pushing the limits of southern hospitality.
“He just pops up at your door or window at the worst possible times,” says Annemarie Farrell. “He’s very nice, and I want to be polite – but come on!”

Two panda bear cubs were caught misbehaving in the treetops of their enclosure early Tuesday morning, and subsequently sent to their rooms.
According to reports, the cubs’ mother “totally freaked” when she saw them horsing around at such dangerous heights. She has confiscated their phones and Chinese media outlet Panda Cute OK! has confirmed the cubs will go without video games for at least a week.
