Long Island Cat Smothered by Dog in Need of Cuddles
Maggie, a cat from West Hempstead, NY, was minding her own business when Armstrong made his move.
In what witnesses are calling a desperate need for affection, the dog sidled up next to Maggie and “put his full weight on her.”
“[Maggie] passed out,” says Melissa Frank, who witnessed the event. “I picked her up and shook her – obviously the correct medical procedure – and she finally came to!”

Rare Siberian Snow Cat Photographed in Sweden
Once presumed extinct by naturalists, the Siberian Snow Cat is now known to inhabit Northern Europe in small but agile populations. Photographing one in the wild is a monumental achievement in the scientific community.
That’s why the World Wildlife Fund is agog today after seeing the image above by an amateur photographer based in Sweden. The location and apparent health of this Snö Katt offers biologists a glimpse of the animals’ mysterious migration patterns.

Cat Band’s Acoustic Album Goes Gold After 1 Week
The new acoustic record by cat rock trio Frisky Boys (featuring stripped-down arrangements of their mega hits “I Heard the Can Opener” and “Yarn Baby”) has sold over 500,000 copies and downloads just one week after release.
“We love that fans get so excited about pure, honest performances like these,” says Joe Calico, the band’s longtime manager. “The boys will take this one on tour for a bit, and then get back into the studio for a follow-up.”
