Cat Freaked Out by Federal Tax Code
A 1-year-old cat named Honey is taking some time off after five futile attempts to decipher the U.S. Federal income tax code.
“It’s the brackets that really freak her out,” says Taylor Fine, a source close to the situation. “That, and she’s a cat.”

Influential Scientific Paper Written by Parakeet
The academic community was rocked Tuesday afternoon when respected biologist Dr. Jeffrey Franz admitted that he is not the author of a critical thesis on toxicology.
“I have lived with this shame for two years,” Franz told reporters at a press conference. “And I can’t deny Ziggy his due any longer.”
He was referring to his colleague, Dr. Ziggy, a parakeet who has studied the effects of pollutants on marine life his entire career. His authorship of the paper has been restored, and the Global Science Tribunal will consider revoking Dr. Franz’s membership card in the coming weeks.

3 Baby Hedgehogs Born to California Zoo
Three adorable African pygmy hedgehogs were born at the Happy Hollow Park & Zoo in late March. While the zoo has not revealed their names, we don’t see any reason why they can’t all just be called “Sonic, Jr.”

Another Chihuahua Lost to Couch Cushions
Tragedy struck early Monday morning when yet another chihuahua was sucked into the couch, never to be seen until a few hours later when he got hungry.
This is not the first time we have reported on the dangers of plush furniture. Indeed cats are also highly susceptible to couch attacks.
