Kitten Causes a Scene at Local Department Store
Raffiki, a kitten from Manchester, United Kingdom, caused a scene at a local store after being told that there were no returns on the shoe she had just purchased. Reportedly, the angry kitten had purchased a shoe earlier in the day from the sale section of the store, only to suffer from a bit of buyer’s remorse when she later realized that the footwear was comically too large for her petite paw.
“She should have tried the shoe on before leaving the premises,” said a store manager. “All sales of discount items are final. No returns.”

Lion Just Has the Winter Blues
Zumba, a lion at the Raubtierpark in Subingen, Switzerland, is struggling with a bout of seasonal affective disorder – otherwise known as the winter blues. "He just gets a little sad when the park closes for the winter,“ said one source close to the situation. "He’ll cheer up again when visitors start arriving for the spring season.”

New Home Sales to Dogs Start to Rebound
According to the latest figures out today from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, new home sales to dogs were up 4% for the month of January. That’s the first uptick in new dog house sales after a record 23 straight months of flat or declining numbers. This is great news from the puppy economy, which has been in need of some positive numbers. United Dog Houses, a leading builder of planned canine communities, has seen its stock jump 6 points on the news.
