Stowaway Cat Found in Traveler’s Suitcase
Upon returning from a visit to the Midwest, Emily Banks of Brooklyn, NY noticed her suitcase was a bit heavier than usual. She unpacked it to discover a cat had crawled into the liner pocket.
TSA authorities suspect the stowaway boarded the aircraft, unzipped Banks’s luggage and tucked herself away during a layover in Gary, IN. The cat’s motivation for traveling to New York is still unclear, but sources close to the situation suspect she wanted to try acting.

Pick Your Own Seafood Bar Big Hit Among Cats
When the Olive Garden restaurant chain debuted its new “Pick Your Own” seafood bar at its Billing, MT location in December, many critics scoffed. "Who wants to hunt their own food? People go to Olive Garden for the family atmosphere – bowls of salad and breadsticks on the table, not tanks of seafood in the lobby,“ chided a particularly scathing report in USA Today.
But what those pundits apparently failed to realize is that Olive Garden’s number one area of customer growth comes from cats. "We’ve seen feline reservations up 440% since launching the pilot program in Billings,” says a spokesperson for Darden Concepts, which owns the Olive Garden chain. According to Darden, the “Pick Your Own” seafood bar has been such a success, that it will be expanded nationwide starting in June.
