Kitty Unimpressed with Android Tablets at CES

Miles, a cat journalist working for the MeowTechTimes.com blog, has so far been disappointed with the Android tablet offerings at this year’s CES.  After three days in Las Vegas, Miles isn’t finding a lot to get excited about.

Polaroid? Meh. Acer? Yawn. Panasonic? No thanks. Vizio came closest to piquing Miles’ interest with their bevy of new Android tablets, but even their offerings made him want to go to sleep. (Which he did – he’s slept most of the trip to Vegas, actually.)

“I think Miles feels that most of the tablet spotlight this year is on Windows 8 and there just isn’t as much for a Android fan like himself to get psyched about,” explained Jim Stanton, Miles’ editor.

Maybe next year, kitty.

Guinea Pig Closes In on ‘Theory of Everything’

Researcher and guinea pig, Dr. Hopwell Fuzzykins, at the University of California at Irvine, is closing in on a new theory that his colleagues think has a good chance to finally unify the four fundamental interactions of nature: gravity, the strong force, the weak force, and electromagnetism.  The elusive “theory of everything” has stumped physicists for decades.

“It has something to do with loop quantum gravity… or maybe M-theory… I’m not actually sure,” explained Martin Winchecker, associate dean of UC Irvine’s school of theoretical physics.  "I really don’t understand this stuff.  I’m more of a figure head.  I just know Dr. Fluffykins is really smart and he gets oodles of grant money.“

Dog Roommates Refuse to Let Christmas Go

Virginia dogs Jackson and Gigi won’t be taking down their holiday decorations anytime soon. While Christmas trees line the sidewalks, the two roommates plan to keep theirs up until next December.

“They get really nostalgic around the holidays,” says Beth Hauser, a friend. “I tried to explain that if it’s Christmas all year round, it becomes less special. They wouldn’t have it, and just pushed some gingerbread on me.”
