Bunny Excited About New Schwarzenegger Movie

It’s been a long time coming. Gus the rabbit could hardly remember the last time he saw Arnold Schwarzenegger on the big screen. One can imagine his excitement then, when he found out the action legend would be starring in The Last Stand, his first film in a decade. 

“He already bought his tickets,” says Chip Heineke, a friend of the bunny. “He doesn’t even know what it’s about, or who else is in it. Arnold is in it though, and that’s all that matters. Gus would see him in anything.”

An avid fan of the Austrian Oak since his debut on the American film scene, Gus has seen virtually all of Schwarzenegger’s movies. 

“He really just loves the one-liners,” says Heineke. “He’s hoping this new one will have one of those instant classics like ‘I’ll be back,’ or, ‘I’m a cop, you idiot.’ He’s also hoping he goes ‘Ayyeaaagh’ at least once.”

NYC Rent Increases Cause Kittens to Live 6 to a Loft

New York City: Perpetual rent increases are nothing new to humans, but the latest increases in rent – averaging 3.3% a month – have led even kittens to crowd into lofts in trendy areas. Entire litters of kittens are moving into desirable baskets in close proximity to food dishes, televisions, TV guides and fireplaces. 

Jennifer Walton, a Brooklyn-based real estate broker, said “It’s unfortunate that rent increases for cats have increased so rapidly, but with the explosive growth of trendy areas, the down payment needed for a cat condo, most post-weaning kittens have no other choice but to crowd into a loft and use each other to keep warm." 

Walton continued: "I do have some great properties to show this week, right near some exciting cat nightlife spots, such as a basket of clean laundry and the kitchen counters next to a glass of water.” All kittens with good credit and who are up-to-date on vaccines are encouraged to contact Walton for their New York City rental needs.

Puppy Enlist Disciplined For Napping

According to the United States Army, a new recruit has been reprimanded following an incident that occurred last week. Army officials tell The Fluffington Post that Pvt. John Snugglekins was caught “taking a nap” during a routine drill.

“Private Snugglekins was spotted at approximately 0800, peacefully sleeping while making cute noises,” says Army spokesman Craig Froomkin. “The drill sergeant on duty was notified of the infraction, and the private has been placed on leave. Pending a review, it is expected that he will be punished to the fullest extent of military law. While it is recognized that Private Snugglekins is a puppy, and that growing puppies need their rest, examples must still be set. We believe these actions to be appropriate.”

Area Kitty Is Ready for Spring Break in Mexico

Though we’re only a couple of weeks into the Spring semester, Buster’s mind is completely occupied by thoughts of sunny Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. That’s because yesterday the cat from State College, PA  booked a trip to the resort destination for his Spring break in March.

“He’s totally ready to go,” said Maggie Schulte, who lives across the hall from Buster. “He can’t concentrate on homework at all.”

According to Schulte, Buster spent days agonizing over vacation brochures. Finally deciding on Cabo after he learned that Vladivostok, Russia – his other top choice – is actually quite cold in the winter.  Now he’s got his bags packed, including his lucky sombrero.

“He claims that as long as he’s got that hat, it’s a sure thing,” she said. “I have no idea how he’s going to get through eight more weeks of classes.”
