Solar Powered Cat Shows Promise for Green Pet Industry
Let’s face it: Pets require a lot of energy. If you lament your high oil or coal bill after a romp with your furry friends, there’s good news on the horizon.
A prototype from pet R&D firm Catalyst Technical has the potential to change the feline fuel game. The Quinn XDS™ is almost entirely solar powered. Charge him for three-to-four hours in a sunny window and he’s good to go all day long.
While a spokesperson for Catalyst Technical says a commercially viable model of the Quinn may still be one or two years off, the proof-of-concept is an important step forward in green pet research.
