Fall may be approaching, but gardeners are still primping their flowers and foliage in anticipation of chillier weather. Wowo, a local sheepdog, remains enthusiastic about his hydrangeas.

“They’re really the highlight of his yard,” says Jack Parsons, a neighbor and fellow green thumb. “You should see the lengths he goes to to keep them healthy and blooming throughout the year.”
